Alpha Omega

Alpha Omega, located in Rutherford in the heart of Napa Valley, is one of Napa’s newest boutique wineries. Surrounded by vineyards and mountains, the beauty of this rustic, farm-style winery is as captivating as its wine. Enjoy a barrel sample of our Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, handcrafted by our Winemaker Jean Hoefliger and world renowned consulting winemaker Michel Rolland. This Cabernet blend wine is a sell out before release every year. Alpha Omega Vintner Robin Baggett will prepare from scratch his “almost famous” southern style Brunswick stew which will be paired with our Sauvignon Blanc 2009. We will also be pouring other AO signature wines.

On Sunday of passport weekend you will have the opportunity to purchase futures of Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 which is being offered 30% below the projected release price. Chaix Wines

In 1909 our great-grandfather, A.P. Chaix, emigrated from France and bought vineyard property in the area now known as the Rutherford Bench.  Wines from grapes grown in that same vineyard are some of the Valley's most distinctive.  In celebration of 100 years as growers, a group of us came together to form Chaix Wines, a brand new, small production wine venture.  Together with winemaker Sam Baxter, we've crafted a 100% Estate Grown Cabernet reflective of Rutherford's best signature traits.  Bing cherry, red currant, dusty earth aromas, mint and cedar, together these flavors build on the palette to produce this complex yet accessible wine. 

We proudly serve our 2009 A.P. Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.  Tasty treats to accompany.  For Passport Weekend we will be offering a 10% discount on bottle purchases and 20% off case purchases.

Elizabeth Spencer

Elizabeth Spencer, located in the heart of Napa Valley in Rutherford, is an artisan producer of varietal wines from some of the best wine regions in Northern California. 

For the Winter Passport Weekend, we will be pouring our 2010 Riesling and 2008 Syrah.  We will also feature our 2011 Pinot Noir from barrel. We are pleased to be pouring our wines at B.V. Elizabeth Spencer will offer a 20% discount on select Magnum purchases that weekend for Passport visitors. Wine purchases must be made across the street at the Elizabeth Spencer tasting room.

Franciscan Estates

Franciscan has its roots deeply embedded in the soil of Napa Valley. Founded over three decades ago, wine industry revolutionaries Raymond Duncan and Justin Meyer shaped the winery’s beginnings in 1973. Today, Director of Winemaking Janet Myers is preserving the winery’s legacy while leading it into the future. “We inherited a craftsman’s ethic here: work with nature, work in small lots, innovate. Dedicated to our Estate Vineyard fruit, this is a small 298 case production, it is available exclusively at the winery. The aroma is full and concentrated with deep rich fruit, sweet black cherry and raspberry, wrapped in notes of clove, vanilla, and sage.

Magnificat 2007
For Magnificat, our goal is to craft a wine as seamless and harmonious as the Bach masterwork for which the wine is named. The 2007 vintage offers inviting aromas of dark cherry, anise, mocha, clove and red plums. This wine has become one of Napa Valley’s most famous Meritage wines. It’s beautiful name was inspired by an Aria composed by Bach.

Honig Vineyard & Winery

Our grandfather, Louis Honig, purchased our Rutherford vineyard in 1964, and we've been making award winning Sauvignon blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon since 1980. We farm sustainably, power our winery with solar energy, and were one of the first wineries to earn the California Sustainable Winegrowing Certification. We welcome Passport guests to our table - to share good wine, good food, and make good friends.

J Moss

J. Moss is a small family wine business established in 2000 by James & Janet Moss. In order to ensure that J. Moss wines will always be of the highest quality, they produce limited quantities from mainly single appellation vineyards. Total production is approximately 500 cases annually with plans to increase production.  Their goal is to produce not just good wines, but great wines. Their winemaking style is to produce complex, intense and elegantly balanced wines that emphasize their varietal characteristics. The wines reflect the attention to detail of their portfolio of cult wines and appeal to everyday wine drinkers and connoisseurs alike.  Along with good friends, they are literally hands-on in every aspect of the wine production process. Lieff Auberge Road Winery

Lieff Auberge Road Vineyard is located on rocky, volcanic soil on the steep eastern slopes above Rutherford. The vineyard site is composed of 5 blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon on 5 acres directly across from Auberge du Soleil and was planted in 1999. Two upper blocks were planted in 2001. An additional two acres were planted in 2009 including 14 rows of Petit Verdot for blending.The vineyard is farmed by Barbour Vineyard Management Company. Our Cabernet grapes find their heritage from clones: 337 110R, 7 110R, 7 101-14 and 337 101-14.

Our 2009 harvest will constitute 600 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon. We also make 600 cases of Sauvignon Blanc to be released Spring 2010.
The Lieff Auberge Road Vineyard Cabernet and our Sauvignon Blanc are under the winemaking capabilities of Jeff Ames.

Meander Wines

Meander is the personal project of winemaker Amy Aiken, who has been crafting wines in Napa Valley since 1989.  Amy’s first Meander Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley was from the 2003 vintage.  Created in a bold yet balanced style, Meander wines are handcrafted to represent the nuances of each vintage whether you drink them now or years to come.    The Conspire label was created as a playground for Amy to “conspire” with different growers and varietals.  Both Meander and Conspire feature small lot, handcrafted wines sourced from boutique vineyards in Rutherford, St. Helena and Russian River Valley.
Passport guests will be treated to 2010 Conspire Rutherford Sauvignon Blanc, 2006 Meander Napa Valley Cabernet and a special barrel sample from the 2010 vintage. These tastes will be paired with a scrumptious sweet potato and leek soup. Passport holders will receive a 10% discount on all wine purchases. Meander will be pouring at the Rutherford Grange.

Mumm Napa Valley

For more than 20 years, Mumm Napa sparkling wines have set the standard for California méthode champenoise, emphasizing natural ripeness and exceptional Napa Valley fruit.  A winery noted for its friendly staff and outstanding sparkling wines, it also offers its guests some of the most spectacular views of “Rutherford” vineyards!     Mumm Napa is also noted for its commitment to fine art photography.   The present exhibit showcases 27 original prints by the legendary landscape photographer Ansel Adams.

Mumm Napa is pleased to offer a Winter Passport holders our award winning 2001 DVX and Brut Reserve poured from a Magnum and paired perfectly with a chanterelle and hazelnut soup.

Pedemonte Cellars

Chris Pedemonte, has managed vineyards in the valley for about 25 years, a large portion in the Rutherford area. After making wine for many years for one of his clients for private use, he decided, along with our business partner Tim Connor, to make a small commercial production of Cabernet in 2004. The fruit is sourced from the Rutherford vineyards he manages, so he has complete control over the viticultural practices, ensuring the highest quality fruit. His winemaking approach is to source the best fruit, and allow it to express itself with the least interventions possible. The result is wine that truly represents the classic Rutherford character. The 2004 Cabernet garnered 90 points from Wine Spectator. The 2005 and 2006 received 91s, and the 2007 a 92. In 2007 he also decided to make a proprietary blend of Sangiovese and Syrah which we named Adagio, with luscious mid-palate and a hint of spice.

Pedemonte is happy to pour our 2008 Rutherford Pedemonte Cabernet rated 92 in the Wine Spectator, and our proprietary blend  “ Adagio” Which is a blend of Sangiovese and Syrah.   All fruit is sourced from the Round Pond Estate in Rutherford. We will be pouring at the Rutherford Grange, so please be sure to stop by and say hello! 

Peju Province Winery

 It was the love of farming and a passion for wine that brought Tony and Herta Peju to the Napa Valley more than 25 years ago. Their humble winemaking efforts began inside the garage, then a makeshift tasting room, and have since grown Peju into one of Napa Valley’s most notable landmarks and a celebrated winery operation. Lisa and Ariana Peju have also joined the family business and have spearheaded our earth-friendly programs, including organic certification in the Rutherford Vineyard and solar power. We have also earned certification as a Napa Green Winery and Bay Area Green Business.
Join Peju Winery for a sampling of our Cabernets paired with our Chef prepared beef bourguignon stew and hearty, lentil soup garnished with some toasty treats from the Peju kitchen. Taste our 2007 Napa Valley Cabernet Napa Valley, 2007 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve and a barrel sample of our Rutherford Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. All Passport holders will also receive special purchasing opportunities on all current release (Napa Valley tier) wine purchases and on our 2007 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve.

Pina Napa Valley

Piña Napa Valley is a small Family winery, owned by the four Piña Brothers, and known for taking Vineyard designated Cabernets.  The family has been making its home in the Napa Valley since 1856 when their great-great-grandfather Bluford Stice led a wagon train into the valley from Missouri.  
Our parents started Piña Vineyard Management almost 50 years ago, and the kitchen in our home was a meeting place for local growers and farm workers. Today, at our small family winery we
take pride in sharing with you the proud traditions of farming and winemaking passed down to us over many generations."

For the Spring Passport, Pina is proud to serve a selection of our amazing Cabernet Sauvignon, including our 2007 D’adamo Cab, 2007 Howell Mountain Cab, 2008 Rutherford Cab, and the 2008 Cahoots Cab.  For your food pairing pleasure, we are serving up empanda’s along with a selection of cheese, and our famous brownies from our special family recipe.

Raymond Winery

One of Napa Valley’s iconic, pioneering wineries with roots in the earliest foundations of winegrowing in Napa, Raymond Vineyards celebrated its first harvest in 1974.  The original 90-acre estate in Rutherford has expanded to 300 acres throughout the Napa Valley.  Five generations of the Raymond family imbued the winery with a sense of its deep roots in the Napa Valley, and the winery has built an enduring reputation for elegant wines with a beautiful balance of finesse, power and complexity.

Raymond is proud to offer Passport guests our famous Beef Bourgignon, which pairs amazingly well with the following wines that we know our guests will enjoy: 2009 Napa Valley Reserve Chardonnay, 2006 Rutherford Merlot (1000% Merlot), and the 2010 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon. For the barrel sample, we’ll be offering our 2006 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon)

Round Pond

At Round Pond, nothing gives us greater pleasure than sharing our handcrafted artisan creations and our hospitality.  Located in the spectacular Rutherford region of the Napa Valley, a visit to our family owned and operated estate is an exquisite opportunity to explore the rich abundance of one of California's most famed wine growing areas.  From our intimate and acclaimed olive tours to some of the best wine tasting in the Napa Valley from our terrace, a day spent at Round Pond offers a warm, gracious and informative escape from the everyday.

Round Pond is pleased to participate in the Rutherford Appellation Wineries’ Fall Passport event, December 3-4.  The Estate will pour its newly released 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2010 Sauvignon Blanc, and limited production 2007 MacDonnell Family Nebbiolo.  Round Pond Estate Chef Eric Maczko’s toasted brioche cheese sandwiches, dried fruits and toasted almonds will accompany the wines.  Passport holders will receive 25% discount off our 2010 Sauvignon Blanc, and the 2007 MacDonnell Family Debbiolo!

Sawyer Cellars

Situated in a meticulously restored, prohibition-era barn along Highway 29 in the famed Rutherford appellation, family owned Sawyer Cellars produces just 5,600 cases of 100% estate wines, consisting of Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and a blend-Bradford Meritage. Handpicked from grapes grown exclusively on our 50 acre estate vineyard in Rutherford, our wines are hand-crafted to be a true expression of the vintage and the Rutherford growing district. For the Winter 2011 Passport weekend Sawyer Cellars will be serving wines from our estate vineyards surrounding our Rutherford Winery including the 2007 Estate Merlot, 2007 Estate Bradford Meritage and 2007 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as the 2010 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon from the barrel. Our small, family-owned ranch on the western Rutherford Benchland of California’s Napa Valley produces organically certified Zinfandel, Cabernet, Petite Sirah, and Petit Verdot grapes, olives, Meyer lemons, and exotic pomegranate cultivars.  We also make a vibrant Sauvignon blanc from Farina Vineyard on Sonoma Mountain.
